Adamawa YOWICAN election: Gabriel remains the legal, dully elected leader-Nat’l Sec

The election of Rev Gabriel Shall as the Youth Wing Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN) of Adamawa State chairman was upheld by the national Secretariat Abuja and considered it sacrosanct and met the standard of a decent election.

The national secretary in reply to a purported letter of nullification by the national YOWICAN Chairman, Mr Belusochukwu Eweren was disputed by the national council of the organization that he acted based on denominational sentiment and personal gains.

Bako Adashu Elijah who is the YOWICAN national secretary in an official letter to Adamawa CAN Chairman , copied to the office of the state secretary and the office of director, Youth, women and education said the election of Rev Gabriel and others was dully approved and followed all constitutional guides lines of the organization.

Bako’s letter to the Adamawa CAN reiterated that Mr Ewere missed quoted and misused the section of YOWICAN’s Constitution and prayed he will come to the knowledge of truth who has been driven by greeds

Bako wondered at the sudden turn of Ewere who was consulted over the Adamawa’s YOWICAN election, consented by the decision as constitution provided but later came up that unauthorized letter.

He said base on that Eweren has no right to direct the national body to uphold or not to the election of the state affairs of YOWICAN, that can only be done at the council decision not his singular act.

Bako while calling on the leadership of CAN in Adamawa to ignore Ewere purported letter of nullification for the sake of peace and the progress of Youth in the state and Nigeria, they accused him of stooping low for personal interest, worldly gains not the overall interest of the Christian body.
