A prominent business mogul based in Yola, Alhaji Abubakar .D Bashar has been kidnapped.
Sources close to the family disclosed to pressmen on Friday that the businessman was kidnapped on Thursday evening , at about 5.30pm.while returning from his farm , on the outskirts , along Yola – Numan road.
Bashar , is a major wholesale distributor in commodities in jimeta international modern market.
The family source, who requested that his name be kept confidential said the kidnappers called the family asking for N20million.
The Adamawa state police command, spokesman, Abubakar Othman, SP.. Confirmed the kidnapping, saying that the victim was kidnapped on Thursday evening near the “” welcome to Yola gate”.
He stated that the police have commenced investigation in to the unfortunate situation.
The Adamawa state has been engulfed in a spate of kidnapping and Shills cult related violence, in recent times.
