ADC Fires Back at INEC Bias, “Impostors”, Declares Unstoppable Momentum Ahead of 2027

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has strongly reaffirmed its unity and determination to contest the 2027 general elections, insisting that neither INEC’s alleged bias nor attempts by factional “impostors” will derail the party’s growing national movement.

In a press statement issued on Sunday by its Director General of Media (M3), Hon Sudi, the party declared that its silence in recent days does not signal weakness but a focused resolve to serve Nigerians.

“Our leadership is united and fully committed to national progress,” the statement read. “Our movement is gaining momentum across all states, despite biased announcements by the INEC chairman that disregard court rulings. Such actions will not derail the will of the people.”

The ADC claimed that Nigerians are increasingly abandoning the ruling party due to persistent challenges of insecurity, banditry and kidnappings, saying the masses are now shifting en masse toward the ADC as the credible alternative for change.

“Those in power fear this change, but Nigerians have already witnessed the hardships and are determined to demand real change,” the party stated.

The statement also took a direct swipe at recent factional activities within the party, describing attempts by “impostors” to mislead supporters or delay the national convention as doomed to fail.

“ADC is politically experienced, legally prepared, and focused on maintaining stability, compliance, and internal democracy,” it affirmed.

The party expressed confidence that, together with millions of Nigerians yearning for positive change, it will move forward with “unity and determination toward a brighter future.”

The fresh assertion of strength comes barely 48 hours after a new faction led by Don Norman Obinna emerged in Abuja, rejecting Senator David Mark’s leadership and further complicating the ADC’s internal crisis.
