The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State, Mr. Omar Suleiman, popularly known as Omarana, has reassured party members and supporters that recent court developments will not derail the party’s political ambitions, insisting that its mission to transform the state remains sacrosanct.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Omarana dismissed concerns that a court judgment affecting the ADC could weaken the party’s position ahead of future elections, stressing that the legal process is still ongoing and far from being concluded.

According to him, the Court of Appeal has already suspended the judgment that generated widespread speculation, a development he said should reassure party faithful and supporters across Adamawa State.

“There is absolutely no reason for panic,” Omarana declared, calling on ADC members in all 21 local government areas of the state to remain calm, united, and committed to the party’s ideals.

The governorship hopeful expressed confidence in the judiciary and affirmed that the party would continue to explore all available constitutional and legal avenues while remaining focused on its broader political objectives.

He noted that the ADC’s growing popularity among Nigerians, particularly youths, women, farmers, traders, professionals, and civil servants, reflects an increasing public demand for credible leadership, accountability, and effective governance.

Omarana argued that the party’s rising acceptance across the country has positioned it as a formidable political force capable of challenging established interests and offering a viable alternative to voters.

“The ADC represents the hopes and aspirations of ordinary Nigerians seeking accountability, economic opportunities, and a government that prioritises the welfare of the people,” he stated.

He suggested that the recent legal challenges confronting the party were indicative of its growing political relevance, noting that movements advocating change often encounter resistance from those who benefit from the status quo.

Despite the legal uncertainties, Omarana reiterated his commitment to what he described as the mission of rescuing and transforming Adamawa State through policies aimed at reducing poverty, creating jobs, improving agriculture, education and healthcare, and expanding critical infrastructure.

He pledged that an ADC-led administration would pursue inclusive development across all parts of the state, while harnessing Adamawa’s vast natural and economic resources to stimulate growth and prosperity.

The ADC standard-bearer also promised robust support for entrepreneurs and farmers, alongside efforts to create a business-friendly environment capable of attracting investments and generating employment opportunities for residents.

Emphasising the need for responsive leadership, Omarana said government must remain attentive to the needs of citizens and place public interest above political considerations.

He further called for unity within the party, urging coordinators, stakeholders, volunteers, and supporters to remain steadfast and continue grassroots mobilisation in a peaceful and lawful manner.

According to him, party members should continue engaging constructively with their communities while sustaining the ADC’s message of hope, unity, good governance, and development.

“The ADC remains strong. Our vision remains clear. Our mission remains unchanged,” Omarana declared, expressing confidence that the party would overcome current challenges and continue advancing its agenda for social and economic transformation in Adamawa State.
