Adeleke in early lead, ahead Oyetola with over 10,000 votes

Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has taken an early lead in the ongoing Osun gubernatorial election.

Results posted on the portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission showed that Adeleke is ahead incumbent Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), with over 10,000 votes.

According to the INEC portal, so far, Adeleke has polled 67,892 votes while Oyetola has 56,915 votes.

But counting of votes is still ongoing.

A total of 1,955,657 registered voters participated in the election held across 3,763 polling units earlier on Saturday.
