Adamawa State House of Assembly has considered and adopted the report of its joint Committees on Justice and Public Service and Confirmed the nomination of four Non Ex-officio Members of the State Judicial Service Commission.
Their Confirmation followed the presentation of the joint Committees report on the floor of the House by the Chairman House Standing Committee on Public Service and Electoral matters Mr Adwawa Danglock of Guyuk Constituency during Wednesday plenary session.
According to the findings of the committee the suspended members of the Judicial Service Commission were initially sworn in before their names is forwarded to the House for confirmation which violates section one and ninety eight of the Constitution as amended.
Those nominated as members of the JSC are Justice Ambrose Mamadi retired, Alhaji Abubakar Mohammad Pariya, Barrister Christiana Denis and Alhaji Suleiman Musa Ahmad.
After deliberations and observations Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly Alhaji Aminu Iya Abbas who presided over the plenary session directed the Clerk of the House to communicate to the Executive arm for further action.
In a related development the House has granted additional two months to its Adhoc Committee on the investigation of the Affairs of Christian and Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Boards from twenty seventeen to twenty nineteen to enable it perform thorough investigation into the issues.
Motion to that effect followed the presentation of the interim report of the committee on the floor of the House by the its Chairman Mr Simon Isa of Song Constituency during Wednesday plenary session.
