At the tail end of 2020, it was seen to be a defection gale of prominent members of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to the opposition All Progressives Congress party (APC) in Adamawa state.

The likes of Senator Elisha Abbo (Cliff) representing the Northern zone, Former Governor Bala James Ngilari, Titsi Ganama all from the Northern zone axis, the immediate constituency of Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the Executive Governor of the state defected to APC.

Earlier this week, a board member of Adamawa investment and Development Company (AIDC), Hon Ahmadu F Nwangubi willingly resigned.

According to him, he resigned after he studied and experience what is going on in the company, and was left with no choice but to withdraw his board membership with the government agency.

In the letter which he signed personally, Hon Ahmadu appreciated Gov Fintiri for allowing him to serve under his administration.

Mr. Nwangubi has earlier displayed his defection to APC publicly two weeks ago at a world press conference organized by the National body of the party to formally welcome Sen Abbo and Bala with their teaming supports.

He said his journey with the PDP has ended base on his idealogy, principles and loyalty to some party stalwarts of APC from his area.
