A first class graduate of Economics from Adamawa State University, Mubi, Miss Elizabeth Hope Tumba has emerged the best overall qualifying student at the Professional Level for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Examinations conducted in May, 2021.
A statement signed by Belmond Benson, the Information and Protocol Unit senior officer said Miss Tumba, a graduate of Economics, in the Department of Economics ,Adamawa State University (ADSU) Mubi scored the highest grade at the exams to emerge the best overall qualifying Candidate and also best qualifying Female Candidate in a diet at the Professional level.
The announcement was made by the ICAN President, Mrs. Comfort Olu Eyitayo mni,CFA, FCA at the Induction Ceremony that was held on Monday, 8th November 2021 in Lagos. Miss Elizabeth Hope Tumba was declared the best overall qualifying Candidate at the Professional Level in Nigeria and awarded with a Certificate of Merit by the President.
Speaking at the ceremony,the President commended Miss Hope for emerging the best overall at her Level and charged her to sustain the momentum. She also used the medium to appreciate the Department and University from where Miss Tumba graduated for inculcating the right training to their students.
Highpoint of the event was the presentation of awards and certificates to deserving recipients. The event was witnessed by the Proud parents of Elizabeth and some Lecturers from the Department of Accounting, Adamawa State University, Mubi.
