AFCON 2019: Gov Bindow Felicitates With Super Eagles

As the Super Eagles of Nigeria booked ticket to the African Cup Of Nations billed for Cameroon in 2019, Governor of Adamawa State, Sen Mohammed Umar Jibrilla, joins millions of football-loving Nigerians to felicitate and commend the team for putting up a scintilating perfomance against an equaly high-spirited opponent, Bafana Bafana of South Africa.

In a statement by the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Macauley Hunohashi, the Governor noted that, “even though the Super Eagles were held to a 1-1 draw in Jorhanesbourg on Saturday, i am ecstatic with their level of performance, commitment to duty,
Charges Them To Soar Higher through doggedness and patriotic zeal. And these are the kind of attributes that places a nation on a higher development pedestal”.

He emphasised that the victory by the 3-time African Champions is for President Muhammadu Buhari and football-loving fans of Nigeria.

Sen Jibrilla was full of commendation for the technical crew, Executive members and staff of NFF, major stakeholders, foodball fans and the media for their various roles in ensuring the well deserved victory.

He however expressed optimism that the Super Eagles will not be going to the Continental showpiece, in 2019, to just make up the number but to make impressive impact for Nigerians.
