Incidentally, prices of essential commodities are still on the steady increase despite end of bad governance protest originally orchestrated by extreme wide spread hunger in Nigeria.
Prices of goods such as provisions, grains and other staple food items are miraculously rising steadily in our markets squares and shops across board, particularly in Kaduna, the defunct capital of old northern region.
“It’s was rising before, during and even now after the hunger protests”, according to market expert, Mallam Adamu of Kaduna central market.
Our correspondent reported that virtually, cost of most items such as breads, tea provisions, grains, food items or produce have added price even immediately after the protesters of bad governance climb down from protesting podiums.
As but nothing was achieved by the protesters other than provoked anger, and insensitivity to the plight of the common Nigerians, even the price of commonest food such as gari and sweet potatos are been added and rising.
“They’ve not just added, they’re still adding, said Mrs. Angela Ibrahim and Austin Madugu all of big time trades woman and man in Kaduna market, and other shop owners, who chatted with our reporter.
“In fact, Gari, rice, Akpuu, Beans, yams and others food items have added and are still adding “,they lamented.
