In a statement issued on Tuesday, Muhammad described the reports as false and malicious, saying he was never arrested or detained by the DSS.

He clarified that he was only invited by the Police for questioning on a personal matter, which was resolved the same day.

“I was never in DSS custody and not under investigation. I was invited by the Police for questioning regarding a personal matter, which I was cleared and released on the same day,” he said.

Muhammad alleged that the circulating reports were fabricated for political reasons and aimed at destroying his reputation and political career.

He assured the public that he is currently with his family and friends and is going about his normal business activities without any hindrance.

The former aspirant urged the public to disregard the false reports.
