For the purpose of unity and peaceful coexistence that is panacea to development, the first Lady of the federal republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Hajiya Aisha Buhari organised what she tagged: ” Adamawa state progressive town Hall meeting” for all Adamawa concern indigenes of the state.
Aisha while presenting her speech at the presidential banguet hall in Government House Yola,she pleaded with the incoming Governor elect under the People’s Democracy Party (PDP), Rt Hon Umaru Fintiri to have an all-inclusive government that will chat away forward for the entire people of the state. Q

“My plea to the incoming administration is that of all-inclusive governance,a government that will serve as a unifying factor by bringing together people from different backgrounds regardless of political affiliation.” Aisha said
She continue to say that: “critical success factor for 21st century governance is the inclusion of like-minded men and women with good character, high sense of commitment and capacity for transformation, selected through a Fair and rigorous process regardless of their religion, ethnicity and political affiliation.”
“We have many of such people in our state I can assure you so let’s give it a try.” She added
Aisha, an indigenes of Yola South of the state in a solemn voice sais lot of issues like insurgents erupted and crop up the peaceful coexistence of the state.
The meeting on Saturday that last about three hours brainstormed on the progress and the unity of Adamawa state, cultural fiestas and reunification of the people.
Some of the highlights of the meeting was to appreciate the electorates for voting President Muhammadu Buhari for the second term in office.
The meeting under the distinguished Chairmanship of the former MD of Nigerian Ports Authority, Engr Suleiman Omar drew dignitaries across the State including former Governors and newly elected Deputy Governor of Adamawa State.Mr Crowther Seth.
Aisha Buhari said ” Adamawa State had been left in a state of quandary since the elections but now elections are over and there was need for Adamawa to reunite so that Adamawa State would not be at the crossroads again”
The Wife of the President said the prevailing security situations in Adamawa State has continued to pose a serious trouble, threats to peace and the very existence of the people.
She recalled that Adamawa State was once a beautiful state with serene environment with good people uniting across ethnic lines when she was growing up during Gongola State but now the state is highly divided.
She called for unity and pleaded with the people to eschewed their differences and come together to give peace a chance so that a new Adamawa can be created from the ashes of the former that had seen strife and bitterness.
She asked the people to join hands together to build a formidable state devoid of rancour.
