ALERT: Adamawa Governor’s X Account Hacked, Public Urged to Stay Cautious

The official X account of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State, @GovernorAUF, has been compromised by hackers, according to multiple sources.

The breach, reported late on July 11, 2025, has prompted warnings from the governor’s team and local authorities urging the public to avoid engaging with any posts, messages, or links shared from the account until it is restored.

Governor Fintiri’s administration is actively working to regain control of the @GovernorAUF handle.

This incident follows a previous attempt in January 2024, when a fake X account, @AhamduFintiri, was created to spread misinformation, which the governor publicly disowned, clarifying that @GovernorAUF is his only verified account.

Residents and followers are advised to disregard any suspicious activity from the hacked account and rely only on verified sources for official updates. The Adamawa State government has assured the public that efforts are underway to resolve the issue swiftly and prevent further misuse.
