Her purported revalidation membership slip of APC

An All Progressives Congress (APC) party Chieftain in Adamawa State, Alhaji Umar Duhu contrary to a press release issued by Dr. Fatima Atiku Abubakar, Daughter to former vice president and presidential flag bearer of PDP in 2019 that the former commissioner of health remains in APC as far as he knows.

Duhu who was an APC former Northeast national vice-chairman reiterated that the viral story of re validation membership of the party by Fatima is not fake is real and genuine.

He said Fatima was the immediate past commissioner of health and served well Adamawa state with a lot of innovative health care system for the people of the state during the administration of Senator Muhammadu Jibrilla Umaru Bindow of APC.

According to him, Fatima is just trying to avoid joining political issues with her Father, Atiku Abubakar.

“All i know and as far as I’m concerned Fatima is in APC and a loyal member for that matter, I think the Woman is just trying to avoid joining political issues with her father.

” I don’t think it is a big deal for her to be in APC while her father, Atiku remains a chieftain of PDP beside he was once in APC before shifting his political base in PDP.

“Just like the present commissioner of works in the state, Adamu Atiku her blood Brother is serving the state under PDP government, he can’t deny being a party Man.

” What I’m even saying Fatima has been part of us, we are always keeping in touch and has not for one deny being a party member of APC or officially denounce her membership to our party,” Duhu said

You would recall that the former Adamawa commissioner of Health in a press release said she didn’t revalidate her membership of the APC party.

This is coming after the story of her APC registration enmeshed the social media that she re-validated her membership with the opposition party in the state in Jada, her local government of origin.

In the statement issued to Journalists from Abuja, Fatima said:

“Contrary to media reports, I did not revalidate my membership of the APC.

“In 2015 when I was appointed as Commissioner of Health in Adamawa State, I had to join the ruling party in my state. It was a requirement for the opportunity to serve.

“Since the conclusion of my duty tour as Commissioner, I am now into private practice, with no affiliation to any political party.

“I was, however, taken aback to read of my purported revalidation of APC membership.

“For the avoidance of doubt, I did not revalidate any membership of APC which was necessitated by my call to service in 2015.

“Indeed, I have been in Abuja, never traveled to Jada where the purported revalidation was said to have taken place, and never filled a form nor signed any document. The signature appended to the document in circulation is not my signature.

“Please discountenance any report that claims that I revalidated my membership of APC.”
