Amb Kevin meets Czech Rep’s Director of Protocol,Presents letter of Credence

…..to meet President Melos Zeman soon for further bilateral talks

The Nigerian Ambassador to Czech Republic, Mr Kevin Peter has on Wednesday presented Copie d’Usage of his Letters of Credence to the Director Diplomatic Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prague, Czech Republic, Mrs Marketa Sarbochova.

The letter presentation is to further welcome the Nigerian Ambassador to Czech Republic which has being in a long standing bilateral relationship since 1961.

According to him the letter of credence will be further presented to President Melos Zeman in a later date as assured by Marketa, the country’s Director of Protocol.

He said Marketa briefed him on the procedures for the upcoming presentation of the Credentials to Mr President, H E Melos Zeman and further discussed matters of great importance.

Peter revealed that the discussion was to further strengthen the already existing bilateral relations between the two countries.

“I appreciated the ministry of Foreign Affairs Prague and in particular, the department of Diplomatic protocol under her watch for the arrangement put in place for my reception at the airport upon arrival in Prague despite the restrictions in place to curtail the spread of the COVID 19 pandemic.

“In her brief she stressed clearly that Nigeria is a great country and has been in diplomatic ties with Czech Republic as far back as 1961.

“She assured me of her support and cooperation during my tour of duty, I equally assured her of my determination to positively contribute to efforts at strengthening the existing bilateral ties between the two countries. I finally thanked H.E Muhammadu Buhari, President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for finding me worthy to be appointed and posted to the Czech Republic. Also thanked the Czech Republic for accepting my appointment as Ambassador in the country.” Peter said

Kevin who said this to our Nigerian reporter through a WhatsApp chat that he is now settled for duty to explore ways that the country will benefit from the Czech Republic viable economy potentials in the area of Technology.
