Anglican Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Obi Celebrates 5-Yr Anniversary with impressive achievements

The Rt. Rev. Ndubisi Obi, Anglican Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, marks his fifth anniversary on September 21, 2024. Reflecting on his tenure, Bishop Obi highlights the diocese’s impressive agricultural and economic development projects.

The diocese has established farms in Okija, Ozubulu, Anaku, and Igbariam, with plans to expand to Akpugoeze and Ufuma. These farms produce various crops, including cucumber, watermelon, pineapple, and cassava, as well as fish and livestock. The diocese also operates palm oil mills, garri processing machines, and a rice mill.

In addition to agricultural projects, the diocese has established educational and vocational institutions, including a Computer Based Tests Laboratory, a Photography Laboratory, and vocational training centers. The diocese also runs a rehabilitation center, a television station, and a printing press.

Bishop Obi emphasized the diocese’s commitment to human capacity development, employment, and spiritual growth. With over 70 churches established and 23 secondary schools thriving, the diocese continues to make a significant impact on the community.
