The All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamawa State chapter, visited Guyuk on October 22, 2024, to pay their respects and condole with the Lunguda nation on the passing of their son, Senator Dr. Jonathan Silas Zwingina.

The party’s delegation was led by State Chairman Barr. Idris Shuaibu and included State Secretary Dr. Raymond Chidama, Zonal Vice Chairman South Hon. Hammanjoda Umar, Welfare Secretary Pastor Monday Audu, Ag. Treasurer Gambo Bakari Shelleng, Zonal Woman Leader Central Hajiya Aisha Indo Namtari, Zonal Woman Leader South Mrs. Melody Musa, and Zonal Youth Leader North Hon. Usman Hamalai.
Barr. Shuaibu delivered a condolence message, highlighting Senator Zwingina’s commitment to the party and his invaluable contributions to building a strong political structure in Adamawa State and Nigeria.

Shuaibu recalled Zwingina’s wise counsel, stating, “In politics, there is no vacuum, or else it will be occupied by someone.” He noted that the party will deeply miss Zwingina’s grassroots mobilization, bridge-building, and peace-making efforts, especially during this critical time.
Other notable stakeholders in attendance included immediate past SGF Barr. Boss Gida Mustapha, Senator MoAllahYidi, Senator Barata, Senator Abbo, Senator Grace, and Hon. Sunday Peter, representing Guyuk in the ADHA.
The occasion featured goodwill messages, sermons, and prayers from dignitaries and clergymen.
After eulogies, sermons, and prayers, the late senator was laid to rest at his private residence in Guyuk.
