The All Progressives Congress (APC) Adamawa State Chapter has congratulated retired General Mohamed Buba Marwa on his reappointment for another five-year term as Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a press statement issued today from the party’s headquarters at President Bola Ahmed Tinubu House, Scope Road, Jimeta/Yola, and signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Hon. Mohammed Abdullahi, the APC described the reappointment as “well deserved” and a testament to Gen. Marwa’s outstanding performance.
“The APC Adamawa State Chapter under the leadership of Barr. Idris Shuaibu heartily congratulates Gen. M. B. Marwa on his reappointment,” the statement read. “Since his first appointment in January 2021, he has clearly changed the narrative in the fight against drugs and illicit substances in this country.”
The party praised Gen. Marwa’s courage, capacity, gallantry, and seriousness in discharging his duties, noting that he has “written his name in gold” through numerous results and successes recorded under his leadership.
“This reappointment is a further confirmation of the absolute confidence President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reposes in him based on his impressive and convincing track record,” the APC affirmed.
On behalf of the party’s leadership, elected representatives, stakeholders, and the entire APC family in Adamawa State, the chapter wished Gen. Marwa continued success and divine protection in his national assignment.
Gen. Marwa, a former Military Administrator of Lagos and Borno States, has been widely commended for transforming the NDLEA into a more proactive and result-oriented agency, with record drug seizures, arrests of high-profile traffickers, and aggressive public sensitization campaigns.
His reappointment for a second term has elicited widespread support across political and regional lines, reinforcing confidence in the Tinubu administration’s commitment to sustaining gains in the war against drug abuse and trafficking.
