APC Chieftain Dr. Emmanuel Musa Exempts Himself from Party Activities in Adamawa State, Cites Marginalisation, Lack of Inclusion

In a strongly worded letter dated today 18 April, Dr. Emmanuel N. Musa, President of the Emmanu Foundation and a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholder in Hong Local Government Area, has formally withdrawn from all party activities at both the Adamawa State and Hong LGA levels.

The letter, addressed to the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Bangshika Ward, Hong Local Government, expresses deep dissatisfaction with what Dr. Musa described as “consistent ill-treatment and lack of inclusion” under the current party leadership in the state and local government.

According to the letter, Dr. Musa, who is also a gubernatorial aspirant backed by significant stakeholders within his ward and local government, lamented that despite clear support from political appointees and grassroots members, his team was not allotted even a single slot in the ongoing party congresses.

He further accused the outgoing State Secretary, Dr. Raymond Chidama, alongside a federal appointee from outside his constituency, of unilaterally imposing ward and LGA executives without due consultation or the consent of local stakeholders.

“This action undermines the principles of fairness, inclusion, and internal democracy within the party, and it is unacceptable,” Dr. Musa stated.

Highlighting the contributions and sacrifices made by himself and his supporters towards the growth of the APC, Dr. Musa declared that he and his team have resolved to step aside from state and Hong LGA party activities until appropriate corrective actions are taken to address these grievances and restore due process.

Despite the exemption, Dr. Musa reaffirmed his commitment to the broader leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that he would continue to monitor developments in the interest of the party’s unity and success.

The letter was copied to the APC Chairman in Hong LGA, the APC Chairman in Adamawa State, and the Executive Governor of Adamawa State.

As of the time of filing this report, neither the Adamawa State APC leadership nor the state government has issued an official response to Dr. Musa’s letter.

Dr. Emmanuel N. Musa is a well-known figure in Adamawa politics, often recognised for his philanthropic activities through the Emmanu Foundation and his consistent support for the APC at various levels.

This latest move could signal growing discontent among certain blocs within the party and may trigger further realignments as the APC prepares for internal processes and upcoming electoral cycles.
