APC Congress: Adamawa Party Chieftain calls for calmness, says no cause for alarm as LG Primaries will not be hijacked

Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ganye local government area, on Thursday, called for calmness amid fears that some stakeholders are planning to hijacked the materials meant for the Saturday’s local government Congress of the party.

Speaking in an telephone interview one of the APC Stakeholders from Ganye and a former Commissioner Hon. Jibrin Adamu Gurum has described the rumors going round that Alhaji Muhammad Sadiq Walin Ganye’s loyalist are planning to hijacked the fourth coming local government Congress in the area as baseless

Hon. Adamu Gurum said, Walin Ganye is one of the major stakeholders of the party in Ganye zone and the state in general, and his intervention in the ongoing exercise is for peace and progress following series of calls from Party faithfuls in the area.

According to him Sadiq is one of critical stakeholders who always contributes their insightful ideas with the hope that his people will see the light of the day.

“we as stakeholders we are working with those that have the interest of our party at heart and we will continue towards ensuring that we move our party forward and the process would not be hijacked by anyone.”

He also alleged that Hon. Namdas group has planned to imposed Augustine Bonokameni, the caretaker chairman of the party to continue as tentative chairman of the local government, but assured that they will resist that.

He cautioned against another purported plan by same group to remove the names of duly elected executives of the party from Bakari Guso and Jaggu wards of Ganye local government from the congresses and replace them with those belonging to their camp.

Also speaking in an interview a caretaker treasurer of the party in Ganye Malam Hamisu Buba cried out, alleging Namdas group for removing about 18 local government officials from the scheduled local government Congresses and for manipulation of the Bakari Guso and Jaggu wards results.

He urged those masterminding the tampering of the result to desist in the interest of the party and warned those jostling to get governorship ticket of the party in 2023 that members would resist any attempt by any individual to hijack the party
