An All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial hopeful in Adamawa State, Ahmadu Hamman Nasara, (Dan Maje Adamawa) has given the Ibrahim Bilal led exco a clean bill of health urging the APC family to unanimously endorse its continuity.
The APC chieftain noted that the move will ensure unity and stability of the party ahead of the 2023 general polls.

Nasara noted that endorsing the APC exco across the state, local government and ward levels will obviate standoffs, mudslinging and unhelpful recriminations in the party which will enable it garner the needed stamina to supplant PDP come 2023 general polls.
In a phone chat with our reporter, the gubernatorial hopeful was upbeat that Bilal will lead the party to a victorious outing because of his high political pedigree, acceptability, outstanding leadership and excellent record of service.
He noted that another disadvantage of holding the congresses is that, the exercise will lead to the fractionalization of the party among divided interests and political leanings which may erode the party’s winning streak ahead of 2023 general polls.
“If congresses are allowed to hold, there will be sharp divisions among contending parties and elements.
“Against that backdrop, mending the party to face the general elections will be difficult. More so, the exco were elected and sworn for a four year tenure but they were stopped midway.
” If we are to be fair to them, we should uphold their tenure in consideration of the fact that they were disbanded without serving out their terms,” he said.
He noted that the exco members come from different constituencies with expectation of democratic dividends from their sons and daughters, adding that removing them prematurely will be detrimental to the goals of their constituencies.
“We are still smarting from our defeat in the last election. The major reason for that defeat is that we went to election sharply divided.
” Let us wholeheartedly endorse all the exco’s from ward, local government and the state levels in order to obviate any rancour and ensure a peaceful transition.
“This will greatly enhance our chances of victory come 2023 general election in all the tiers of government in the state,” Nasara added.
