Adamawa State Senator Ahmed Hassan Barata alongside other contestants from North East aspiring for Northeast National vice-chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, have stepped down for Comrade Mustapha Salihu.
Barata comfirmed to this medium that in the spirit of party Unity and harmony have agreed to do the needful to bring the party to a better position to win the coming 2023 general elections.
The convention in Abuja was today characterized by many party stakeholders called for consensus candidates to emerge as the party leaders.
The convention has since adopted the former Governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu as the consensus national chairman of APC.
