….confirms appearance before party disciplinary committee in Yola over viral audio
There has been a political hullabaloo in Adamawa State that had a cancerous root to the internal politics of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the National level.
A few days ago Alhaji Uba Dan’arewa originated an audio that went viral accusing the Vice President-Elect, Senator Kashim Shettima of causing all the political uprisings in Adamawa State.
Uba in the viral audio said the President-Elect, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu should be wary of Shettima because he can play the backstabbing game to remove him in office.
His comment became a national issue of the party to the extent of setting up a disciplinary committee to authentic the truth about the viral audio.
Uba confirmed appearance to the five Man committee constituted by the North East Vice Chairman (National), Dr Mustapha Salihu.
Uba in other to make the record straight during a Radio Program in Yola told listeners that the wrong notion paddling around he spoke in proxy for Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, former EFCC Chairman and an ally of Tinubu is totally wrong.
He distanced the audio and his View from Mallam Nuhu Ribadu. According to him, he is not his Boy or neither is he his errand media soldier.
Uba during the Radio Program (Fombina FM) reiterated that he has been an advocate for Democracy and good governance and whatever name in the audio he addressed Shettima with, he did that with the backing of the Constitution as a good Nigerian.
He accused supporters of Adamawa APC Governorship candidate, Senator Aishatu Ahmed Dahiru Binani of fueling and sponsoring the audio he made to soil up the animosity relationship between Ribadu and Tinubu.
He maintained that Ribadu has met him in politics and they are still working together because they share the same political ideals.
He revealed that Ribadu is a good Man, a good leader that is passionate about good governance, one of the reasons he supports him in politics.
He, therefore condemned those linking his audio to mean a message indirectly sent by Ribadu to Kashim through him.
“I’m not Ribadu’s Boy, and I can’t be his media attacker or defender. Those linking my audio with him are Binani’s supporters all because they want to create enmity between Asiwaju and Nuhu.” Uba said
Uba made his view known and clear on how Kashim interfering in Adamawa politics is causing a lot of cracks in the party and said from now henceforth he will not say anything regarding the issue again.
“I have said my mind and on this same issue I will rather remain silence but will continue to work for my party at all levels.” he said
He challenged his attackers to know that he is far better than them at whatever level and can go anywhere in the world to fight for justice.
He consider it a privilege to appear before the disciplinary committee and confirmed that he made the audio and stand by the content therein.
He told the committee that the audio was born out of a genuine concern and love for the party he labored for many years ago where the likes of Binani joined them and now are trying to destroy the party.
