This decision comes after a long-standing rift between Aregbesola’s Omoluabi caucus and the Osun State chapter of the APC. The party’s state executive committee issued a letter to Aregbesola, informing him of his expulsion and citing breaches of Article 21 of the APC Constitution.

The Omoluabi Progressives, led by Aregbesola, had been at odds with the state’s party leadership for some time

Aregbesola had recently shown support for his loyalists’ decision to leave the APC, which was announced during a meeting in Ilesa on Sunday. The Omoluabi Progressives, led by Aregbesola, had been at odds with the state’s party leadership for some time. The APC accused Aregbesola of actions that undermined the party’s unity and integrity, and he is no longer recognized as a member or allowed to represent the party in any capacity.
