The Gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa Sen. Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani has distributed fertilizer to farmers in the Adamawa central zone and foodstuffs across the 21 local government areas of the state.
Speaking during the ceremony held behind Lamido Cinema in Jimeta-Yola Sen. Binani said the Fertilizer is free, and challenged the beneficiaries to ensure judicious utilization of commodity.
Sen. Binani who represents the zone in the National Assembly said the distribution of fertilizer to farmers is part of her contributions towards boosting farming activities, ensuring bumper harvest and improving food security in the state and the country at large.
She also added that a total of 8,400 bags of rice and maize which is obtained through a political group “Baba Buhari For All” will be distributed to the less privileged across the 21 local government areas of the state.
“The fertilizer which would go round the 226 Wards in Adamawa state is targeted at supporting our farmers to improve both the quality and quantity of their harvest.
“I have made it very clear that the fertilizer is free and on no condition should anyone give a dime to be a beneficiary.
“In the same vein, I have also flagged off the distribution of 8,400 bags of rice and maize donated to Adamawa state by the Baba Buhari Support Organization.
“Our committees under my supervision from ward to Local Governments level would be in charge of the distribution devoid of political party, gender or religious bias,” Binani said.
In their separate remarks, APC governorship running mate Hon. Titsi Ganama and the DG campaign of Sen. Binani, Alh. Ahmad Hassan Barata called on Adamawa people to avoid politics of sentiments and vote for the right candidate in 2023 general elections.
They also called on party stakeholders to include voter education in all their political activities.
Alh. Ibrahim Bilal, APC chairman in the state, appealed to politicians in Adamawa to emulate the gea store which has direct impact on the lives of the less privileged in the same society.
Also, former member of the House of Representatives represents Fufore- Song Barr. Sadiq Ibrahim Dasin challenged the distribution committee to be just and fair to all while discharging the duties.

Alh. Muhammad Mutawalle, the who represents Girei constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, called on APC members to unite themselves and work towards taking the party to greater heights.
Some of the beneficiaries, the District Head of Yola Alh. Muhammad Ahmed M.ustapha and Mrs. Rifkatu Jidauwus from Song described the intervention as timely and promised judicious utilization of fertilizer.
