In an official update released today, Dr. Hammajam Ahmed Adamu, the State Coordinator for the APC E-Registration Exercise in Adamawa, announced that the online registration portal at apcregistration.com is undergoing a critical system upgrade.

The upgrade is necessary to handle the large number of new registrants from the state following the recent mass defection.

Governor Fintiri announced his defection from the PDP to the APC in a statewide broadcast on February 27, 2026. He described the move as being in the best developmental interest of Adamawa State and its people.

The governor stated that he was moving with his entire cabinet, appointed officials, members of the State House of Assembly, and PDP structures across all 21 Local Government Areas (LGAs).

Following the announcement, commissioners, special advisers, and other key figures publicly resigned from the PDP and aligned with the APC. The governor was formally received into the party and has assumed leadership in the state chapter.

The mass registration for these former PDP members was set to begin on Monday, March 2, 2026. However, due to the influx of prospective members, the APC national leadership is overseeing the portal upgrade to ensure a smooth and efficient process.

Dr. Adamu urged all supporters and prospective members to remain calm, patient, and steadfast. He assured that registrations will proceed without delay once the upgrade is complete, and loyalty and commitment are highly valued.

The development comes as part of a broader trend of defections to the ruling APC ahead of the 2027 general elections, with Adamawa now among states aligning more closely with the federal government.

Supporters are advised to monitor official channels for updates on when the portal will be fully operational again.
