All Progressives Congress has appointed Senator Abdullahi Gobir (Sokoto East) as the new Senate Leader.
The development was contained in a letter by the National Chairman of the APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, which was read at the lawmakers’ plenary on Wednesday by Senate President Ahmad Lawan.
Gobir’s appointment came as a result of the defection of the former Senate Leader, Senator Yahaya Abdullahi (Kebbi North) from the ruling APC to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party.
