Despite the Controversies that Characterized the recent State Congresses of the All Progressive Congress (ApC) across the country, expectations was that the hierarchy and Chieftains of the party would table and address the issues immediately has been dash.
The party is not expected to address the conflicting lingering crisis that saw the party split as many as 13 ApC states, the party is expected to address the internal crises and aggrieved member which split the party into parallel group across the states from the recent congresses.
The cumulated crisis are particular located at the state level where parallel executives are now believed to have been planted in as many as 13 states of the ruling party.
In spite of the conflicting reports of parallel congresses, ApC envisage a hitc-free National Convention on June 23, Since the entire tendencies with the party share a Common ground in their support for President Muhammadu Buhari.
Findings/predictions is that most of the delegates would vote for Adams Oshiomhole as the National Chairman and MaiMala Buni as the National secretary since President Muhammadu Buhari had endorsed them both, to steer the party and bring lasting solutions to the lingering internal crisis and bring the aggrieved members together to forge ahead of 2019 general elections.
Maimala Buni the National secretary is Buhari’s diehard who fought and won the battle politically, including the epic battle for the Soul of Nigeria that brought about the resurrection of ApC in the 2015 general elections, he was a torn in the flesh of the oppositions especially the incumbent sitting government of PDP that left them packing.
Why Odds May Favor Buni! Is the competence and commitments to the party and his measured responses to issues in recent times, and reactions and actions to internal crisis in the party offers a great insight into his approach to the Job and his meticulousness that speaks Volume.
Maimala Buni’s emerging as the National secretary in 2014 didn’t come as a surprise, considering his political background and unquestionable principles, in his inner workings and service delivery mandate, most states, local governments and National party structures are ever ready to reel out facts about his excellent services to the party wellbeing.
With Such Iconic leader, like President Muhammadu Buhari loyalty is enhanced. Loyalty to one leader Minimizes intra-party Conflicts, it could have been two strong presidential Contenders.
Though with the Collective support drummed for Buhari makes it easy for reconciliation and mending of fences in ApC, post the National Convention and before the 2019 general elections, the tonic of which was Clearly Gazetted by Unanimous support president Buhari’s endorsement of Hon, Maimala Buni as the National secretary of the party.
