The All Progressives Party Congress (APC) Peace and reconciliation committee Chairman delegated to reconcile all Party aggrieved members of North-East,Alhaji Tanko Almakura, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa state said APC is still battling with problems of automatic tickets.
Almakura Said this Wednesday afternoon while receiving complains of I’ll felt Party loyalists of Adamawa and Taraba States in the Presidential banquet hall of Adamawa government House.
Tanko made specific reference with the complains of Senator Bashir Marafa Abba from Taraba central senatorial zone who he extolled as a ranking member of the party that does not deserve such injustice of the party.
According to Tanko that they are aware of Marafa’s major contributions of sustaining and reviving the Party in the state but to denied him fair play in the last primaries is purely a case of glaring injustice.
Marafa who narrated his ordeals that beclouded his unfortunate political backwardness of the state’s Party chairman,Barr Ibrahim Tukur El-sudi of merchandising the party for self financial aggrandisement.
Marafa prayers to the committee is for Party to reorganized fresh primaries or should refund monies to those that purchased forms.
He however said he remain committed to upholding the norms of the party and to work hard for the success of president Mohammadu Buhari in 2019.
Another Complain that pricked the concern minds of the committee members is the one raised by the joined senatorial aspirants of Adamawa Northern and Southern zone.
Prof Tahir Mamman OON, SAN,Dr Abdullahi Dauda Belel, Mrs Anna Sini,Sen Ahmed Barata and Moris Vonobolki presented case to the committee through Barata.
According to them are hereby in strong term but politely disagreed the blocking of candidates in a democratic setting to pave way for one candidate.
Its unconstitutional, illegal, against APC constitution and democratic tenets.
They demanded if time and INEC schedules permit, cancellation of the auto ticket and conduct of primaries should be reconsidered, or unreserved apologies to all affected candidates should be given by the party.
Other pressing is the party should immediately refund all monies for Forms purchased by aspirants and payment of flat sum to reduce loss of expenses by the aspirants.
The aspirants made a passionate prayers that the committee should absorb some of the candidates nominees at state level positions. Absorb candidates in boards and parastatal at federal level with suitable appointments commencing now.
And they also prayed that any other just and fair decision that will assuage the injustice perpetrated should be highly consider by the national party.
