APC Screening Committee Clears Aishatu Aliyu Umar for Adamawa Central Senatorial Race

Engr. Dr. Aishatu Aliyu Umar, popularly known as Sarauniyar Hong, has been cleared by the All Progressives Congress (APC) screening committee to contest for the Adamawa Central Senatorial seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Her clearance followed the conclusion of the party’s screening exercise for aspirants seeking elective positions under the APC platform.

Aishatu Aliyu Umar, a renowned engineer and academic, is aspiring to represent Adamawa Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly on the platform of the ruling party.

Supporters and political associates who reacted to the development described her clearance as a major step toward strengthening female participation in politics and leadership in Adamawa State.

Campaign posters released by her team project her candidacy with the slogan “Competence, Capacity, Character,” while emphasizing integrity, progress, and people-oriented representation.
