A case was made on behalf of Senator Aishatu Ahmed Dahiru (Binani), the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate by Dr Umar Ardo, the gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SPDP) for Governor Ahmadu Umaru to allow her use Ribadu square, planned venue of her campaign flag off on the 9th of January, 2023.
Ardo called on Ahmad to as a matter of urgency please give the APC gubernatorial candidate the Ribadu Square to flag off her campaign as done to him.
He said the request is an act require by law and denying her will give her a valid point of political propaganda.
“The fact that it is a requirement of the law, denying her would only give her a valid point for propaganda and undue sympathy of the electorate.
“This is not in the interest of either the PDP or the SDP. Please act accordingly and safe us any embarrassment.” Ardo said
