Northern stakeholders have opened up on the need to doscard the culture of exclusion in governnance.
This was highlighted of the Arewa New Agenda interactive conference, under the leadership of former Secretary to the Government of the Federation – -Malam Mahmud Yayele Ahmed.
The stakeholders stated that failure to recognize the contributions of the Traditional institutions and religion has been responsible for the current level of stagnation in the country.
They maintained the slow pace of governance itself societal and lack of harnessing the great potentials in the wisdom of royal fathers and the values upheld by religion are closely connected to the current pathetic national maladies, including the underdevelopment of rural areas of the country.
The two pillars, according to various speakers at the event, agreed that given their exposure and years in public service, they are in an excellent position to advise the government on the needs of the people and strategies that will solve most of our problems.
