A shocking attack by armed bandits on Tungar Dada Village in the Moriki District of Zurmi Local Government Area has left the community in mourning following the death of one individual and the abduction of 50 villagers early this morning.

According to intelligence sources, the assault occurred around 4:00 AM when a heavily armed group stormed the village, unleashing gunfire and chaos. Eyewitnesses reported seeing bandits firing indiscriminately as they rounded up villagers, leading to panic and desperation among residents.
“The sound of gunfire was deafening. We ran for our lives, but they were everywhere,” recounted a local resident who wished to remain anonymous. “They took my neighbor and many others. We are terrified.”
Security officials have confirmed the death of one villager, and efforts are underway to locate and rescue the abducted individuals. Authorities have mobilized resources and are currently pursuing leads to apprehend the assailants, who fled the scene with the abducted villagers.
