The Adamawa APC Governorship Candidate, Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed (Binani) has urged the aspirants who contested State Assembly and House of Representatives in APC across the 21 LGAs of Adamawa State to work for the party at all levels.
Senator Binani made the call Thursday when she received Aspirants who contested various offices under the platform of All Progressives Congress.
Binani said “it becomes pertinent to invite you to this meeting because you are stakeholders and an important part of our campaign train.
“Some of you were not happy with the manner in which our party conducted your primaries and some were not contacted after the primaries despite investing so much in the party. Today I am standing before you to urge you to forgive and have confidence in us and we will not disappoint you.
“I want to most sincerely thank you for coming and reassure you that none of you will regret joining this team”.
Speaking earlier, the Director General, Binani Campaign Organization, Senator Ahmed Hassan Barata expressed happiness over the high turnout at the meeting, he said that the impressive turnout suggested that the aspirants have confidence in Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed (Binani), where he encouraged them to go and mobilize their supporters and ensure the victory of APC at all levels.
Speaking in the same vein, the Adamawa State APC Acting Chairman, Hon. Samaila Tadawus called on the aspirants to consider their struggles for tickets as an experience that would drive them to straight win in 2027 God’s willing.
Tadawus further urged them to forgive the party where it erred at the primaries and work for the winners of the Assembly elections across the state and the Governorship Candidate in particular.
Also speaking, Senator Abdulaziz Nyako expressed confidence in the capacity of the Governorship Candidate, assuring the gathering that Sen Binani is very equal to the task ahead.
Speaking on behalf of State Assembly aspirants, Hon.Martins Dickson commended Senator Binani for deeming it fit to honor them with this invitation.
Dickson considered the invitation as an honor they would not take for granted. He pledged their support on behalf of the forum for State Assembly Aspirants to use their structure and deliver Senator Binani at the Governorship elections come 2023.
Speaking on behalf of House of Representatives Aspirants, Hon Abdulmini Song maintained that the inability of the last administration to have meetings like this gave birth to the loss of the 2019 Governorship elections in Adamawa.
Song commended Senator Binani for making herself available and accessible to all stakeholders, having listening ears as well.
Song concluded that the meeting would without doubt translate to victory at the general elections.
