The Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, Sikiru Akande, on Tuesday led a heavy detachment of policemen to the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) House, venue for takeoff of today’s nationwide protest in solidarity with the striking university lecturers.

SaharaReporters sighted fierce looking armed policemen with their long convoy of personnel carrier and gun trucks in front of the gate leading into the Labour House.
