Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has once again demonstrated his commitment to education in Nigeria, particularly in his home state of Adamawa. Through his verified X account, Atiku shared the success of his team’s annual intervention programme, tagged Education Day. This initiative is part of Atiku’s ongoing efforts to support public education and empower young minds in Nigeria.

This year’s edition of the programme focused on schools in the Ganye area of Adamawa State. Atiku’s team embarked on a comprehensive outreach programme, visiting all 18 public schools in the area. During these visits, the team distributed essential educational materials, including notebooks, pencils, biros, and teaching and learning materials.
The distribution of these materials is aimed at supporting public education and enhancing the learning experience for students. By providing students with the necessary tools for learning, Atiku’s initiative is helping to bridge the gap in education and create opportunities for future generations.

In addition to the distribution of educational materials, the programme also identified 10 brilliant students who will receive scholarship awards to support their next phase of education.
