Atiku’s Son, 5 others turbaned as SGF Fintiri graced the occasion in Ganye Chiefdom

Gangwari Ganye, Alhaji Umaru Adamu Sanda has turbaned six illustrious sons and daughters of his Chiefdom into various traditional titles at a colorful event that was held at his palace in Ganye local government area of Adamawa State.

The first Son of the former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Adamu who is Adamawa State Commissioner of Works and Energy was turbine as Sardaunan Ganye the second last Saturday.

Others turbaned were Chief of Staff Government House, Yola Professor Maxwell Gidado as Danmasanin Ganye the second, Abdulmumini Mapindi; Durbin Ganye, Alhaji Aliyu Abubakar; Jakadan Ganye, Barrister Lilian Stephen Nabe; Mi Woba Ganye, and Hajiya Rasheeda Almustapha as Jakadiyar Ganye.

Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintri alongside former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Secretary to the Government of Federation (SGF), Boss Mustafa was among the top dignitaries that graced the event.

In his address at the event, Governor Umaru Fintiri has described the event as the celebration of excellence, saying the new titleholders have contributed to the development of Adamawa.

While congratulating the new titleholders for their elevation, Governor Fintiri observed that traditional institution has been in forefront of combating any emerging security threat in the society.

He said his administration since inception has been prioritizing the welfare of citizens and assured that the government under his watch will keep to that for the betterment of the state.

In his remarks, Gangwari Ganye, Alhaji Umaru Adamu Sanda said the selection of the new titleholders was to appreciate their contributions to the development of any Chiefdom and Adamawa in general.

The Gangwari Ganye saluted Governor Umaru Fintiri for raising the standard of security and education in the state and called on his subjects to be security conscious at all times.

Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman of the occasion, Senator Abdul Ningi Who underscored the values of traditional titles urged the new title holders to put forward the people’s aspirations and wishes.

Responding on behalf of those turbaned, the Chief of Staff Government House, Yola Professor Maxwell Gidado thanked the Paramount ruler of Ganye Chiefdom for finding them worthy of their titles.
