The Executive Governor of Adamawa state, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has breaks up the long awaited list of commissioners nominees With Atiku’s Son,Adamu,two former commissioners who served in the administration of the immediate past Governor,Sen Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow making up the list.
Atiku loyalists, Ibrahim Mijinyawa and Umaru Daware who resigned their position as commissioners under former Gov. Muhammadu Bindow’s administration and defected to the PDP, were also among the 22 selected commissioners nominees selected across the 21 LGAs of the state.
But the African Democratic Congress (ADC) which were generally perceived the played a major role in divulging good chunks of votes ordinary believed to be APC votes to the advantage of PDP got no single slot of the nomination.
During a solidarity courtesy visit on resuming to office Governor Fintiri, the ADC Gubernatorial candidates, Sen Abdulazeez Murtala Nyako told news men in Yola him and the elected Governor (Fintiri) are the same thing and will support him to succeed.
Many in the state were having much anticipation for ADC to formed part of the Fintiri’s Government as in many occasions Governor Fintiri made categorical statements of having an inclusive for all Adamawa indigenes.
The list was read out at the Wednesday plenary of the Adamawa House of Assembly presided over by the Speaker, Alhaji Aminu Iya-Abbas.
Nigerian Tribune reports that the PDP Secretary in the state, Alhaji Abdullahi Prambe,Former two lawmakers who Fintiri was their Speaker, Hon Wilbina Jackson and Aloysius Baba Doke also made the list.
Speaking on the list, the House Committee Chairman on Information, Mr Japhet Kefas, said no date had been fixed for their screening.
“The house will decide next week on a date for their screening,” Kefas said.
The house had on Tuesday approved the list of 40 Special Advisers for the governor.
