….as Tinubu, Kwankwaso, others attend event in Abuja
Chieftains of the ruling All Progressives Congress and the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party on Saturday set aside their political differences when they attended the wedding of the son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and daughter of former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Nuhu Ribadu.
National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu; pioneer National Chairman of the APC, Chief Bisi Akande, and the caretaker National Chairman of the APC, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State and his Kano and Kaduna counterparts, Abdullahi Ganduje and Nasir El-Rufai, respectively, attended the wedding ceremony, which held in Asokoro, Abuja.
Former Kano governor and PDP chieftain, Rabiu Kwankwaso, also attended.
Father of the bride, who was EFCC chairman, is currently a chieftain of the APC.
While expressing his gratitude to all who attended the event, Atiku in a tweet on his verified Twitter handle, @atiku, wrote, “On behalf of my family, I thank those present and also well-wishers for their prayers at the Wedding Fatiha of my dear son, @HHMustaphaAA and his wife, Afrah El-Nafaty. May Allah bless you all for making it a truly special day for me and my family.”
