Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, has inaugurated the construction of N62billion Gusau International Airport in Zamfara State.
Performing the ceremony, Keyamo described the project as the best for not only the state but also the country in general.
He said the agricultural and business potentialities in the state would no doubt sustain the development of the Airport.
The Minister explained that the Airport project would enhance agricultural and business activities of the residents.
He disclosed that already the technical team had been working round the clock to fine tune the project.
According to him, the Federal Government would extend all necessary support and contribution towards the construction of the project.
“I’m here with all agencies under my ministry in order to put things in order”, he added.
In his speech, Governor Dauda Lawal said the Airport would be given due attention for successful completion within the stipulated period of 32 months.
