Yola South Local Government Party Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) of Adamawa state,Alhaji Suleiman Adamu berates the Senator representing Adamawa Central Senatorial district, Abdulaziz Nyako as the worst senator Adamawa state have ever produced since the return of democracy.
Adamu describe Aziz as a Man that Lacks political importance to compete with anyone in the state because of his attitute of playing politics of hatred and grief to the Adamawa people.
While narrating his ordeals with Nyako who neglected the Party EXCOs from Wards to State level who worked hard and brought him to power as a sitting senator with nothing tangible to show forth for the electorates,he Said the incumbent senator is no going anywhere in politics
”I can swear with the Holy Quaran,Abdul Aziz Nyako three years as a senator is the worst ever in the history of Adamawa, go round the Seven local government areas and tell me his records,tell me the number of bills or laws he sponsored at the national assembly, he therefore lacks the wills and the competence to contest with anybody under whichever Party. ” Adamu Said
He made a direct comparison with the Senator representing Adamawa North,Senator Binta Masi Garba who he witnessed her empowerment programs to the people of the area, securing Jobs to so many people and given scholarships to less privileged students.
“As I’m talking to you a trailers loaded with sewing machines, irrigation machines for both rainy and dry seasons were given to people. She renovated schools damaged by insurgents.But for our senator nothing of such has ever being presented to people,only some time ago, we were told as a party he gave one modu of maize seedlings to some people, and is unfortunate to say that because of hungry some villagers ate it and die.” He added
Suleiman revealed this to Journalists while in receive of an aspirant vying for House of Representative, Abdul Rauof Modibbo Girei at the party office in Yola.
He accused Aziz of ruining down his polical life with building walls of enemies among his followers and all stakeholders in the state.
“He decamped to a party of no relevance as far as Adamawa is concern,ADC is never a Party of competition if it is Aziz that will be the Governor Aspirant. This is a Man that do not pick calls of his political allies and associates, this a Man that is fighting our leaders for no reason, this is a Man only rely on his Father political good will,tell me how can he win in Adamawa with all this nonchalant political attitude?” He asked
Suleiman vowed that APC in Adamawa is a party to beat and the popularity of the party is uncontestable.
According to him all the polical bigwigs in the state are in APC, naming Nuhu Ribadu,Marcus Gunduri and Ahmed Modibbo were all in opposition and contested against Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow in 2015 but now are in APC,the ruling Party.
“I’m assuring you that APC will win in 2015 and Adamawa people will assuredly bring back President Muhammadu Buhari for the second time in 2019.” He further said
In a swift reaction the media aide to Senator AbdulAziz Nyako,Mallam Awwal Usman said the Yola South APC Chairman is totally talking out of gross illiteracy of who Aziz is and what is doing at the national assembly.
According to Awwal Aziz cosponsored a bill that became law on North east development commission, he has a bill on not too to run,a bill in process to convert the Modibbo Adama university of Technology to a conventional university and currently working on a bill on hate speech.
He portrayed that all what Usman raised are blatant lies that’s not linked to the person of Senator Nyako.
“I think for him to say Abdulaziz Nyako is the worst senator in the history of Adamawa State is a crimes against the person of Aziz.
” It’s on record Senator Nyako has constituency projects in all the Seven Local government is representing and a functional Dam in Karlai in Fufore LGA.
“As a chairman Senate committee on special duties, is always on his toes to do oversight functions related to the committee he is chairing,Like IDPs,PCNI,NGOs,MDGs and Refugees commission where he influence the provision of relief materials when the need arises.
” Let me also put this on record that Suleiman is totally out of point,I can take you back the memory lane that Abdulaziz is first person to visit the APC office in his three months as a senator and empowered women and youths with sewing machines, Motorcycles and farming equipments.” Awwal Said
He refuted the point Suleiman raised of Aziz no having political relevance in the state and can not win any elective post.
“If Aziz does not have any political relevance he wouldn’t have won an election in the ruling party,and controls thousands of people in the state.
” It was because of Senator Aziz’s political forthright and fairness that Suleiman is what he is today, so Aziz brought him to political limelight.
“Let me also call the attention of Usman and many others who might be sharing same feelings that Nyako is building walls (Enemies) with so many political stakeholders in the state.
” Just some few days ago Abdulaziz and Gov Bindow spend good time at Yola airport discussing issues of mutual interest if he is having enemies he wouldn’t have done that.” He added
