The House of Representatives (HoR) Lawmaker in the green chambers of the National Assembly, Hon Abubakar Babazango (Abaza) has empowered one hundred and twenty Adamawa Women with Sewing and grinding machines.
Abaza who is representing Yola South, Yola North, and Girei Federal Constituency has also given fifty thousand Naira to each of the beneficiaries.
Abaza facilitated the gesture through the Federal corporative college Orji River, Enugu State strategically designed to empower Adamawa women who are Artisans for the 2024 project year.
The event was held at the premises of the capital school in Jimeta, Yola North Local area of Adamawa State women in their hundreds thronged the venue chanting the praises of Abaza.
Abaza told our correspondent that he vowed to give a responsive representation that would bear the brunts and the burdens of the electorates, and he would never relent in doing so.
He said what they are seeing is just a litmus taste and a tip of the ice bar as many piled of events he designed to do in making sure he fulfills his campaign promises.
The Federal Lawmaker revealed that there’s going to be another mega empowerment coming at a sooner date that will involve men, women, youth, and the less privileged.
He said the essence is to chase away poverty and to fight idleness and laziness in many people.
He however called on the beneficiaries to make sure that they use the equipment to improve their living standards and it will go a long way in stabilizing the country’s economy.
One of the beneficiaries, Hadiza Adamu who is from Girei thanked Honourable Abubakar for his foresight to support them at this crucial time.
She assured him and the federal cooperative officials who came all the way from Enugu State to support them.
