Numan federation under His Royal Majesty, Homun Dr. Daniel Shaga Ismail, Kpawo Nomwe, Gilongo Diya is putting machineries to ensure everlasting peace, unity and develipment in the kingdom, chairman publicity subcommittee of coronation and presentation of first class staff of office, to new Hama Bachama, Dr. John Ngamsa said.
The coronation and presentation of the first class of office to the 29th Hama Bachama is slated for Wednesday, December 23, 2020.
Ngamsa who made the revelation on the sidelines of a press conference convened by the chairman organizing committee of the coronation and presentation of first class staff of office to Hama Bachama, Chief Joel Madaki, said, as part of the resolve, the Hama Bachama is has been carrying all sides of the divide in the concentration process.
He noted that the perennial farmers/herders conflict in the area has noting to do with religious or ethnic differences but rather the fallout of activities of criminals residing in both farmers and herders’ communities.
Ngamsa added that since his assumption of office, the new Hama Bachama has been engaging both sides of the divide in peace talks, noting that the situation has led to the emerging peace and conviviality being witnessed in the area.
He lauded governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for the move he is putting in place to enthrone peace by engaging all stakeholders in the peace building process in the area which is yielding the needed premium.
In his speech, the chairman of the organizing committee, Chief Joel Madaki thanked governor Fintiri for the role he played at ensuring a peaceful selection of the new Hama Bachama and the coronation/presentation of staff of office without delay.
“May I on behalf of the main organising committee appreciate his excellency, the executive governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for fulfilling his promise of giving approval to the selection of the Hama Bachama by the kingmakers and coronation/presentation of official staff of office without delay.
” We equally appreciate friends and well wishers of Bachama kingdom whose thoughts and prayers were with us as the selection lasted,” he said.
He called on all sons and daughters of the soil as well as friends and well wishers of the kingdom to come out en masse to grace the colourful ceremony but noted that the event will hold under strict COVID-19 protocols.
“The Bwatiye race has a rich cultural heritage and coronation ceremony calls for its display to the administration of our teeming visitors. It is upon this premise therefore that I call upon all district heads and title holders of the Bachama traditional council, sons and daughters of the Bwatiye race to come out well dressed in their Bwatiye traditional outfit,” he said.
