Hajiya Salamatu Baiwa- Umar Eluma was the immediate past national woman leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, she left office unceremoniously after the dissolution of the former national working committee NWC of her party about 20 months ago .
Though, she avoided public glare for obvious reasons, but coincidentally was part and attended the progressives women forum conference of her party, were she held sway as national woman leader ,only to stole the show of the day.
She joined the maiden APC progressives women conference, obviously because it was her pet project before leaving office abruptly for sheer political exigency.
Nonetheless, the former APC national woman leader who was full of life used the fora as another opportunity to appreciate Nigeria’s leader , President Muhammadu Buhari and his dear wife, Dr Mrs Aisha Muhammadu Buhari for giving her a dual opportunity to serve the party at that level, and the country at large.
The immediate past national woman leader who took the issue of women inclusiveness, relevance and engagements campaign to international fora when she attended the 7Oth UN general assembly ,eulogised the leadership of the country for the domesticated women inclusiveness in Nigeria polity.
Baiwa who initiated wholistic women engagement in the build up to 2019 general elections, by moving all through the length and breath of Nigeria to mobilise women ,so as to attract dividends of democracy there in after her party won election in 2019.
She led women delegation from across the country that subsequently visited President Muhammadu Buhari, as a reminder and a ‘Thank you tour’ for the inclusiveness of women in his administration.
She said the obvious willingness by the present administration under APC to surpass the 35% global women affirmation, was worth commendation.
The former national woman leader who maintained the gratitude of women in the country to President Muhammadu Buhari knew no bound, towards the political, social and economic emancipation of the women folk in Nigeria.
She reminded the APC women across the country to rally round the All Progressives Congress APC in the forthcoming national convention slated for February , 2022 and the determination of the platform to continue to give women more voice now and after the 2023 general elections.
Mrs Umar-Eluma who urged Nigerians and women to remained steadfast with APC, so as to continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy beyond 2023.
Her address at the progressives women conference portrayed her believe and kick-started campaign to Nigerians on the need for both women and men to demonstrate another zeal by returning the APC in 2023, saying women should take the campaign lead.
For Baiwa, it is buisness as usual, as the former national woman leader, and APC starlwart and national figure in Nigeria.
She had maintained a firm grip in followership and support base for the ruling All Progressives Congress APC in Nigeria, this is an indication that one good turn really deserves another, not minding the angle it is coming from.
Congratulations for still remaining a party leader to the core in APC, Hajiya Salamatu Baiwa-Umar Eluma, former APC national woman leader.
