Armed bandits launched a brazen attack on Zamfarawa village in Zugu District, Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State, abducting 30 residents on Tuesday, October 7, at approximately 2:20 p.m. The assailants stormed the community, firing sporadically to terrorize residents before whisking their captives to an unknown location.
Local authorities confirmed the incident, with security forces now intensifying efforts to trace and rescue the abducted villagers. The attack has heightened fears in the region, already plagued by frequent banditry. Updates on the ongoing operation are awaited as the search continues.
