Nigerian R&B singer, Olubankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, and his actress wife, Adesua Etomi, have welcomed their second child, a baby boy, in the United States.
The singer-turned-politician shared the joyful news on Instagram, posting a heartwarming video showcasing his hands-on approach to family life since the baby’s birth. In the video, Banky W is seen cooking, helping around the house, and supporting Adesua.

Banky W and Adesua, who tied the knot in 2017, had previously shared their struggles with fertility and miscarriages. However, their prayers were answered with the birth of their first child, Zaiah, in 2021 after a four-year wait. Zaiah celebrated his third birthday in January 2024.
In addition to the exciting news of their second child, Banky W has also announced his return to music with a new single, his first release in four years. Fans are eagerly anticipating the singer’s comeback to the music scene.
The Wellingtons recently relocated to the United States, where Banky W is pursuing a master’s degree in Policy Management at Georgetown University in Washington DC.
The couple’s friends, family, and fans have taken to social media to congratulate them on the arrival of their second child and Banky W’s return to music.
Banky W’s Instagram post read: “…But more importantly than that, I am a husband and a father. We just had our second child, who is an amazing young boy.”
