The Evangelical Church winning All, ECWA, Secretary General, Rev. Yunusa Sabo Nmadu Jnr, said, Jos ECWA Theological Seminary, Jos (JETS) is an academic environment and it is a school per excellence, the flagship institute of ECWA and it is internationally recognize.

Speaking further, he added, and for the institute to name anyone or confer an award of Honorary Degree on any person, the person must be worthy of the award. So, for the institute to have given Barr. Dr. Deborah Saleh Usman it means that they have found a lot in her in-terms of community engagement, contribution to mission works, the expansion of the kingdom of God and to humanity and also to mission building. Deborah qualifies in all of these aspects that I mentioned.

Nmadu made these comments at the weekend during an exclusive interview with Gurara Accord in Jos immediately after the graduation and honourary award ceremony of ECWA Theological Seminary, Jos.

“Deborah is a philanthropist, she uses her resources when it comes to helping the poor and the less priviledged but, not only that, Deborah also use her intellect to the development of the kingdom of God. As busy as she is Deborah is still a Sunday School Teacher because of her love for the spread of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and this is what qualifies her for this award.

“The award is for both recognition and encouragement to Deborah and it will serve as encouragement to others to do more and to know that in your little corner whatever you are doing you are been watched and this is a typology of what we are going to see in heaven, when we meet and be rewarded by an unjust judge, God himself. So, this should encourage not only Deborah but, the rest of us, Christendom as a whole to know that we don’t have to wait until we are in heaven before our efforts are being recognized,” has said.
