The Government and people of Adamawa State rolled out the drums on Saturday at the Government House Banquet Hall in Yola to celebrate the unwavering commitment of Barr. Gabriel Adikwu.

The event was organised by the Principal Special Assistant (PSA) to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Adamawa State on Social Mobilization Mr Victor Dogo appraised the performance of Fintiri in the good for the overall people of the state.
The event, which drew a capacity crowd from across the state, recognized Barr. Adikwu’s exceptional dedication to promoting leadership excellence, selfless service, and the entrenchment of government policies and programs, while inspiring young minds both within and beyond the Nigerian Bar Association.
The prestigious occasion also honored other distinguished personalities for their contributions to the state’s development.
Among the award recipients were Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the First Lady of Adamawa State; Hon. Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman, Chief Judge of Adamawa State; Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno, Majority Leader of the Adamawa State House of Assembly; Dr. Micheal Zira Wadaragwo, Director General of PAWECA; Hon. Idris Yaya, Chairman of Song Local Government Area and Chairman of ALGON Adamawa State; Mrs. Galaxy Thami, Chairperson of Women-led NGOs and Executive Director of HARAF; Hon. Abdulrahman Bobboi, Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Affairs; and Foya Puja, Data Processing Officer at Government House Yola.

The event featured a lecture and panel discussion highlighting the transformative strides of the administration led by His Excellency, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. Participants showcased how the governor’s leadership is turning Adamawa into a development hub, driving progress and innovation across the state.
In his acceptance speech, Barr. Gabriel Adikwu expressed profound gratitude to Governor Fintiri for the recognition, pledging to redouble his efforts in mobilizing young minds toward the pursuit of excellence.

Barr. Adikwu also lauded the governor for his visionary leadership, stating, “I thank His Excellency for undertaking the task of building the Adamawa of our dreams and providing the needed leadership in the state, without which I wouldn’t be doing what I do that led to this recognition.” He dedicated the award to the good people of Adamawa State, thanking them for their unwavering support and warm reception.
