During an emergency meeting of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adamawa state chapter where a confirmation of the stakeholders of the Northern senatorial zone was adopted and ratified by the state executive who fielded and nominated Barr Idris Shuaibu to replace the vacant position of the chairmanship office.
Barrister Idris in his acceptance speech told the party leaders who witnessed the confirmation from the twenty-one local government and all the party officials that he rely on them to work better.
The nominated chairman said the party is in dire need of good leadership and to do it well all critical stakeholders must be united at all levels by respecting all stakeholders in the state.
Idris emphasized that his leadership style will have reconciliation, Consultation, and consolidation as his key focus to lead for a take over of the state issues of governance.
While taking the oath of allegiance and oath of office to be fair and threat all party members equally as provided in the constitution of APC and Nigeria. He assured all stakeholders in attendance that the party will take its rightful place in the state.
The emergency meeting was attended by all the APC lawmakers in the state, the state officials, and the local government officials and confirmed the nomination of Barrister Idris by his Northern zone APC stakeholders.
The Party Secretary, Dr Raymond Chidama in his earlier submission said the exercise today is in fulfilment of the party constitution.
You would recall that the substantive party chairman in the person of Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal resigned over six months ago and Elder Samaila Tadawus was given the office to serve in an acting capacity.
He said that Idris Shuaibu was nominated by a majority of his party kinsmen and a motion was raised and seconded to confirm the memo of the Northern party men of their wish for Idris to replace Bilal who was the party leader from the northern zone.
