Adamawa Youth In Politics during its emergency meeting has unanimously resolved to work for the unity of the State and has promised not to allow any politician use any of its member for religious gains.
This stand has become pertinent because of what transpired between the former SGF Babachir Lawal and Senator Abdul Aziz Nyako recently.
It is quite unfortunate that Adamawa state is gradually becoming a home for religious intolerance and biases which if left unchecked would affect the peace cohabitants of the citizens of the state.
The young politicians have unanimously resolved to work tirelessly for the Peace, unity and development of Adamawa and Nigeria in general.
The group,which comprises both Christians and Muslims as its members expressed displeasure over the recent political utterances that came from those supposed to guide the young people to grow in a positive way, have chooses to wash their dirty political linen in public domain which didn’t go down well with the interest of the group.
Adamawa youths in Politics therefore, states categorically clear that it will not sit and watch politicians for their selfish gain lure the state into religious crisis or divide it across religious line.
For the record, the Youths in Adamawa State will never support any person or group of persons canvassing for Muslim-Muslim or Christian-Christian ticket ahead of 2023 general elections in the state.
Our unity in Adamawa State is very Paramount and we will not allow anyone to bring confusion in our dear State.
Yes, the Youths have made mistakes in the past years by allowing the elites do as they so wish, but never again would that be allow to repeat itself.
The youths have therefore resloved to dissociate themselves from use and dump Political leaders who don’t stand for peace,as we remain THE FUTURE LEADERS THAT HAVE TO ANSWER TOMORROW.
We are willing to do anything possible under our power to keep the state away from any religious bigots.
Adamawa state is known to be the most peaceful state in the North East and by extension Nigeria as whole. So, anyone that is nursing negativity about the state come 2023 elections, should desist from doing so, as the Adamawa young politicians will not tolerate such moves.
We are watching đź‘€ and we shall be vigilant at all times. Is either you work for peace and the growth of the State or you stay away from anything that has to do with leadership in the State.
